Services

Procedures

In-office procedures include retinal photography and angiography, OCT (retinal scanning), intravitreal injections such as Avastin, Lucentis, Eylea, steroids including Triesence and Ozurdex, and antibiotics for endophthalmitis, retinal laser, including conventional laser, infrared laser,  micropulse laser, photodynamic therapy, and pneumatic retinopexy for selected retinal detachments.

We use East Jefferson Hospital (adjacent to our Metairie office) for cases requiring an operating room. The staff and surgical equipment are excellent. Surgery is almost always done under local anesthesia with light, conscious intravenous sedation. Most surgeries last about 20 minutes, with a usual range of 10-45 minutes.

    • Macular degeneration
    • Branch retinal vein occlusion
    • Central retinal vein occlusion
